Information for Participants

  1. Receipts of payment and invitation letters: Original receipts of payment for registration and accommodation fees have been mailed to all participants. The English and Chinese invitation letters were provided to the requested participants for supporting their application of travel permit to enter Hong Kong.

  2. Accommodation request: Assignment of room to each participant is in progress. Due to many requests for twin room in Visitor Center, some participants need to use the large single room (with an extra bed if needed) in apartments in University Center. Please update your travel schedule, including the details of your accompany person(s), by sending an e-mail to Ms Vera Tang chvera@ust.hk. Any balance of accommodation charge will be dealt with on registration.

  3. For oral presenters: PC and PowerPoint facility are available at LTB & C. However, presenters are requested to provide their PowerPoint files in a data CD or disk. Use of your own notebook computer, in particular Mac computer, is not encouraged. If you can put your file in a server, we can download in advance for checking compatibility for you. Overhead and slide projectors are also available at LTB & C.

  4. For poster presenters: The size of the poster board is 1 x 1.2 m. Glue tape will be provided for mounting of posters. All contributors of poster presentations MUST show your poster during 29-30 December with sufficient detail information. At the poster session, the presenters are required to stand by their posters for discussion. At least five best poster presentations will be selected with a cash award and a certificate.

  5. Arrival at HKUST: Registration starts in the afternoon of 28 December at 14:00 pm in the Academic Concourse and will remain open until 23:30 pm. If you arrive on 27 or 28 December before/after the registration time, please inform us the arrival date and estimated time at HKUST by sending an e-mail to Ms Vera Tang chvera@ust.hk. We will inform you the meeting point on the campus. Unfortunately, we cannot provide pick up service to all delegates. Please take the public transportations at your choice to HKUST campus.
